Digital video over Cat6 — one cable for power and data, 4MP to 4K resolution, and expansion by adding channels on the same PoE switch.

IP vs older coax CCTV

IP cameras send digital video over Ethernet. A PoE switch powers each unit and connects it to the NVR. You can zoom into a face or plate number on playback — coax analog feeds at 960H cannot match that detail.

We pick models by scene: turrets for short corridors, varifocal bullets for 15–30 m driveways, fisheye for small server cupboards where one lens covers all walls.

Settings we configure on site

Dome IP camera with wide dynamic range for bright lobbies

WDR for glass fronts

Balanced exposure when afternoon sun hits shop windows while the interior stays shaded.

Outdoor scene at night suitable for IR camera testing

IR range testing

We verify night footage at your car porch or loading bay before signing off the job.

PoE network switch connecting multiple IP cameras

Network segregation

VLAN advice so camera traffic stays off your main office Wi-Fi where IT policy requires it.

NVR pairing

Each camera registers to a channel on the NVR with a matching label — “Gate”, “Lobby”, “Loading Bay”. Drive size is calculated from resolution × camera count × days of retention you specify.

Supply and install for a 4MP PoE camera typically starts from SGD 380 per channel including mount and configuration. Total depends on cable distance and quantity. Get a quote.
